Our Facility

A crafter’s dream! Paint, scissors, glue, stamps, Playdoh, loose parts, paper - we have it all! Students are free to use their imagination to create whatever they desire. Our tables are adjustable to fit the height of each child in the Makerspace.

Each Wednesday, our morning meeting is focused on a culture that we study as a group. We started the school year in Conway, moved from there to Arkansas, from Arkansas to the United States, and just recently the class decided to study Ukraine. We offer manipulatives and reading materials that represent the area we are currently studying, and love to get in the kitchen to cook a dish native to the country!

We enjoy our morning meetings on the carpet and often find many playing with Magnatiles here during independent exploration. Many students need room to move while listening, and our huge carpet offers just this. Students are free to find a spot that best suits them on the carpet, or even off to the side of it if they are feeling like they need some extra room!

Books are swapped out seasonally in our nook, and several different board games and puzzles are offered in the drawers below. Students are welcome to grab a book during independent exploration or rest time if they’d like! We offer books on many different reading levels to best accommodate all of our students.

Need a break? Feeling overwhelmed? Take a minute in the Calm Down Corner. We recognize that school can be overstimulating for many. While we try to incorporate mindfulness into our day, and take moments for deep belly breathing, we recognize that some students need a space to feel safe and calm.

A space for each of our students to call their own. Each student has a designated cubby, pull-out drawer for items to take home, and hanger for their outdoor clothes and backpacks.

A favorite spot of many at Willow Roots! Here, you can find Magnatiles, pattern blocks, balance boards, and so much more!

We actually have two ponds at Willow Roots! Both are stocked with fish and perfect for exploring! Willow Roots has access to over 70 acres of land - including these ponds, hiking trails, an outdoor amphitheater, and more.
